History of the Dutch national team

The first-ever dutch legend retrospect to the 1900s and 1910s when Bok Der Korver led the nation to finish third place in the Olympic games in 1908 and 1912. Harry Denis was one of the best defenders in the World in the first half 1920s. Midfielders Mark van Bommel and Wesley Sneijder made FIFA's All-Star team for the tournament. The Netherlands made the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with a squad that was less star-studded. The impressive management of Louis van Gaal played a major role in them finishing third, beating Brazil in the play-off to claim that honor.
